Beautifully Handcrafted Pet Accessories

Jayne Elizabeth Designs was founded in June 2015. I source aspirational fabrics and materials, and careful consideration can be seen in the finest details in my pet products. 

My journey began with my educational pursuits, culminating in a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Surface Pattern Design from Staffordshire University. This led to a number of notable design commissions (with Woodmansterne, and Tigerprint) and gave me a grounding in the art and design industry.

After my degree, Poppy came into my life. Poppy is a tuxedo cat who spends most of her days lying in the sun. Around the same time as my business launched, I also got a puppy -Teddy, which presented challenges, and opportunities. The challenge was to run a business and chase a naughty puppy around the house, but the opportunities were that I now understood the needs and wants of pet owners with regards to product design. In particular, I wanted pet accessories that were made using premium quality and designer fabrics and materials. Also, I wanted the same for my cat Poppy. 

Pets deserve luxury, so making pet accessories using Liberty of London and other desirable fabrics was a natural fit. 

Therefore, I skilfully handcraft cat and dog accessories using high-quality fabrics, paying particular attention to what pet owners desire for their pets, such as safety, style, and comfort. My cat collars are light-weight, fashionable, and include important safety features such as a bell and breakaway buckle. For my dog collars, sandwiched between beautiful fabrics is a strong core of webbing for added strength. Also, I use strong and durable hardware, and triple-stitch all stress points on the collar including the use of box stitch. 

I believe the way in which we dress our pets should mirror our personal ideals and styles, reflecting quality, luxury and desirability.
